Craps is a funny game. Many beginners at the craps table, people who may not
know a thing about what they are rolling or what numbers should come out, often
have some level of success that accompanies their ignorance. A classic scene in
the movie “A Bronx Tale” proves this point, as one of the main characters is
portrayed participating in a craps game at a young age and winning an older
fellow a boatload of money without even knowing what he was doing. For the more
experienced craps players though, it is important for them to know the odds
associated with craps and the payoffs regarding certain types of bets. For
instance, why make bets on a 2 when that number rarely comes out and yields
very little cash? That number should be bet, but maybe not as maybe as a “pass”
or some other “hard” roll of the dice.
