3 Card Poker and Tri Card Poker are two names for the same game. However, if
you walk into a casino and take a seat at the 3 card poker table, you are
offered to different games to play. Most of the time, you can play either one
or both games at the same time. It actually depends on the casino. It gets a
bit complicated since when both games are played at the same time, players may
wager different amounts on each game. Players wanting to develop a 3 card poker
strategy to increase their wins should first be certain they are familiar with
the facets of the game.

The Two Separate Games: Foundations for Strategy
The two games at the core of your 3 card poker strategy are “Three Card
Ante/Play” and “Pair Plus”. In “Three Card Ante/Play”, you are competing
against the dealer, whereas in “Pair Plus”, there are varying payout bonuses
for 3 card poker hands consisting of one pair or better. When both games are
played simultaneously, players have the option to wager different amounts of
money on each game.
3 Card Poker Strategy: Pair Plus
There is really no way to develop a 3 card poker strategy for Pair Plus because
the only real decision is how much to bed. The house’s advantage is low. The
payouts are fairly generous, but the wins and losses can fluctuate a lot. A lot
of casinos allow you to place uneven bets between the game. One 3 card poker
strategy would be to place more money on Pair Plus than on Ante/Play. You could
do this or build up your bankroll first.
Strategy for 3 Card Poker: Ante/Play
A good poker player needs to know what hands to play. If you are working on
developing a winning 3 card poker strategy, here is a tip on which hands to
play:
-
Always play Q-6-4 or higher.
-
Never play anything lower.
-
The house advantage will drop to 3.4% (Not too bad at all!)
